Namaste literally means "The spirit in me meets the spirit in you." The Namaste Connection delivers desperately needed polar fleece jackets to remote villages  several days trek from Chaurikharka. The clothing is collected by members of The Himalayan Project team, flown to Kathmandu and then carried by foot to those in need. The Namaste Connec tion is also developing a pen pal initiative which aims to unite Nepali children with school children in America.

"A Day in the Life of a Nepali Child" is an interactive classroom presentation focused on nurturing awareness and compassion among American schoolchildren for the plight and beauty of Nepali culture.
